Wedding Questions For GS3 Photographer

Describe your style?

I’m a cross between a photojournalist and commercial photographer. My enjoyment is to find each moment that’s meaningful and capture it. As a commercial photographer I like high quality cover art for magazines. This is a win for wedding photography.

How much editing do you do to your images before your clients see them?

For each client its a case by case basis for editing because of the lighting differences between each wedding. I try my best before the wedding to get the right settings thus helps in postproduction. After sorting your best shot then I lightly (or heavy) use Photoshop and/or Lightroom. If the pictures call for it.

Do you have a favorite or signature shot that you always take?

Yes I have a few but I always search for more because each person may not fit into or the shot doesn’t work for them.

At a wedding would you consider yourself a take charge personality or someone who lets the day unfold and capture things as they happen?

I would consider myself a take charge person. During the wedding the “professional photographer” is responsible for the photographs. But during certain parts of the wedding such as receiving line and late in the reception time I could allow the unfolding in Capture expressions of enjoyment.

What’s one of the most important things a photographer should do on a wedding day?

Listen

This allows the photographer to understand the client and the family wants and needs. I am not the focus the client is the focus.

Note: Experienced photographer captures special occasions such as engagement, aiming to create perfect keepsakes.
